LanXang Shorts

LanXang Shorts is a short film competition to be held annually in Vientiane Capital, Laos. It consists of two categories for professionals and new talents. The length of each film will be between 7 – 15 minutes with no specific theme. Submission is free of charge and open to Lao national only. On Friday, submitted films will be screened for 4-5 juries to judge. The jury members comprise established filmmakers and staff from Cinema Department. Then on Saturday morning until noon, a public screening will be organized. All filmmakers, their friends, and general public are welcomed to attend. In the evening on the same day, an award ceremony will be presented at a local cinema theater. The three main prizes, plus Sp cial Mention, will be given for both categories with a trophy, certificate and cash.
