Haw Loi Loi

A documentary workshop on reflection, representation, and exploration of identity

Haw Loi Loi means "go slowly" an expression in Shan culture to take care of one's actions and to have an awareness of one's journey. In this workshop, we hope for participants to embody this philosophy. A documentary workshop will be held in Southern Shan State, to teach the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking.  Ethnic minority regions have lacked access to workshops on documentary filmmaking. We believe that this is the right time to travel to this region to introduce skill sets to ethnic minorities to tell their own stories through documentaries.
